The Karnataka government provides Rs 2,000 monthly to eligible women from Below the Poverty Line (BPL) and Above the Poverty Line (APL) families in the state.
Only one woman in a family receives the funds. However, they must show the status of a breadwinner of the family on the ration card, which the scheme allows them to modify to avail of the benefits.
Eligible women can register online by visiting the Seva Sindhu Guarantee Schemes Portal.
To register, a copy of the beneficiary’s Aadhaar and ration card, the husband’s Aadhaar card, mobile number, and bank account details are necessary.
The Karnataka government’s Gruha Lakshmi Scheme aims to provide financial assistance to women to improve their living standards.
