Outlook Money
Apple Pay is now available in India. Eligible users can make secure card payments across stores, apps and websites using supported Apple devices.
At launch, users can add eligible Axis Bank Visa and Mastercard credit cards to Apple Pay through the Axis Bank app or Apple Wallet.
Apple Pay works on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch in India, while Mac support is expected soon. Payments require compatible devices and eligible cards.
Apple Pay can be used at NFC-enabled contactless terminals and supported merchants, including Apple Store, Blinkit, Croma, Zomato, Chaayos and Tata 1mg.
Double-click the iPhone side button or Home button, authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID or passcode, then hold the device near the contactless terminal.
For supported apps and websites, Apple Pay lets users pay without repeatedly entering card, contact or billing details, while retaining eligible card rewards and benefits.
Apple says actual card numbers are not stored on devices or servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is securely stored in the Secure Element.
