The Henley Passport Index 2026 ranks world’s passports based on the number of destinations holders can access visa-free, offering a clear measure of global mobility. Here are the Top 10 most powerful passports that unlock the greatest access in 2026.
At the 10th place of Henley Passport Index stands The US. American citizens can access 179 countries visa-free or visa-on-arrival.
At the 9th position stands Malaysia, offering entry to 180 countries in the world.
Canada, Iceland and Lithuania share the 8th place on the Henley Passport Index. They provide access to 181 countries with nominal visa formalities.
Liechtenstein, Latvia, Australia, and UK share the 7th place on the list with 182 countries offering citizens of these countries a visa-free entry.
New Zealand, Malta, Estonia, Czechia, and Croatia hold the 6th spot on the list. Citizens of these counties have visa-free or visa-on-arrival travel facilities to 183 countries.
Hungary, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, and United Arab Emirates hold the 5th position on the list with access to 184 countries.
Citizens of Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, and Norway have access to 185 countries, making holders of these passport rank 4th on the list.
Denmark, Luxemburg, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland hold the 3rd ranking on the list. Passport holders of these countries have access to 186 countries.
Japan and South Korea have access to 188 countries, making them the 2nd most powerful passport in the world
World's most powerful passport is of Singapore, with access to 192 countries in the world.
India stands at the 80th ranking. Holders of Indian passports get a visa free or visa-on-arrival facility in a total of 55 countries.
