If your PAN was issued during childhood, turning 18 is a good time to replace the outdated personal details. Here are seven things to know before applying for a fresh PAN
Turning 18 does not require you to apply for another PAN. You can retain your existing number and request changes to your card details.
Your old PAN card may still carry a photograph taken when you were a child. You can submit a recent photograph to update your identity record.
If your minor PAN card was issued without your signature, you can now provide your specimen signature as part of the correction application.
Visit the Protean or UTIITSL website and select the facility for correcting or updating details in an existing PAN card.
Check the document requirements before applying. Enter your existing PAN details correctly and ensure your personal information matches the supporting records.
Submit your latest photograph, signature, and the required documents in the prescribed format. Complete the payment and verification process to complete your application process.
