Mukesh Ambani, with a net worth of Rs 8.6 lakh crore, remains India’s richest person. Despite a 13 per cent decline in his wealth, he continues to be the richest in Asia. His wealth comes from Reliance Industries.
Gautam Adani’s wealth grew by 13 per cent, placing him second with Rs 8.4 lakh crore, just behind Mukesh Ambani. His wealth is driven by the Adani Group's expansion in infrastructure, energy, and ports.
Roshni Nadar, India’s richest woman with a net worth of Rs 3.5 lakh crore, ranks third overall. She also became the fifth richest woman globally, due to HCL Technologies, where she inherited a large stake from her father, Shiv Nadar.
Dilip Shanghvi holds the fifth spot with Rs 2.5 lakh crore. His wealth has grown by 21 per cent in the last year, mainly driven by Sun Pharmaceuticals, a leader in the global pharmaceutical industry.
Azim Premji ranks sixth with Rs 2.2 lakh crore, accumulated from his stake in Wipro. Apart from his business success, he is well-known for his philanthropic efforts, contributing significantly to various causes.
Kumar Mangalam Birla ranks seventh with a wealth of Rs 2.0 lakh crore, marking a 28 per cent increase. His wealth comes from the Aditya Birla Group, which has businesses in telecom, cement, and financial services.
Cyrus Poonawalla, also with Rs 2.0 lakh crore, ranks seventh. His wealth comes from the Serum Institute of India, the world’s largest vaccine manufacturer, despite an 8 per cent decline in his net worth.
Niraj Bajaj holds the eighth position with Rs 1.6 lakh crore. His wealth comes from the Bajaj Group, which has interests in two-wheelers, financial services, and power. His wealth grew by 12 per cent in the past year.
Ravi Jaipuria ranks ninth with Rs 1.4 lakh crore. His fortune comes from RJ Corp, a major bottler for PepsiCo in India. His wealth has grown by 7 per cent over the past year.
Radhakishan Damani holds the tenth spot with Rs 1.4 lakh crore. He is the founder of Avenue Supermarts, which operates the popular DMart retail chain. His wealth has decreased by 11 per cent in recent times.
