The State Bank of India (SBI) has revised rules for its ATM transactions effective from February 1, 2025.
The revisions include a slab on free use of ATMs and increased charges for crossing monthly limits on transactions.
Saving account holders as per the revisions can now receive 5 free transaction at SBI ATMs and 10 free transactions at other bank ATMs.
There is a fixed free transaction from other banks, i.e., 5 per month for customers with an AMB between Rs 25,000 and Rs 1,00,000.
If the customer has exhausted the free transaction limit within a month, charges are levied depending on the ATM.
SBI charges Rs 15, including GST, on every transaction at SBI ATMs and Rs 21, including GST, per transaction at other bank ATMs.
For the transactions that are non-monetary, like balances or mini statements, there is no charge even after one goes over the free limit at SBI ATMs.
The financial transactions, such as trust donations done at SBI ATMs, are free.
