Haryana ranks 10th with a Composite SEDI score of 0.656, placing it among the top-performing States and UTs nationally this year.
Lakshadweep ranks ninth with a Composite SEDI score of 0.670, reflecting strong performance across access, participation, retention, quality and infrastructure.
Andaman & Nicobar Islands ranks eighth with a Composite SEDI score of 0.690, securing a strong position among leading performers.
Tamil Nadu ranks seventh with a Composite SEDI score of 0.706, continuing its presence among the strongest performers on education outcomes.
Punjab ranks sixth with a Composite SEDI score of 0.707, narrowly ahead of Tamil Nadu in the national ranking this year.
Delhi ranks fifth with a Composite SEDI score of 0.709, placing the national capital among the country’s top-performing education systems.
Goa ranks fourth with a Composite SEDI score of 0.713, placing it ahead of Delhi and just below Puducherry nationally.
Puducherry ranks third with a Composite SEDI score of 0.737, recording a clear lead over Goa and other ranked regions.
Kerala ranks second with a Composite SEDI score of 0.798, standing just behind Chandigarh, while maintaining India’s strongest positions.
Chandigarh tops the 2025-26 Composite SEDI rankings with a score of 0.826, leading all listed States and UTs nationally overall.
