Money is not her motivator

She had made it to Economic Times India’s 40 hottest Under 40 Business Leaders and was the only lawyer in the list. To Gunjan Shah, corporate law is her passion. In her own words, her career is built on the pillars of hard work, honesty, trust and empathy for her clients and their problems.

She believes in working hard and not focusing on the outcomes.”To be honest 10 years ago I did not spend much time thinking where I will be today,” she says. For her, money has never been the motivating factor. She handles her own finances. Being a corporate lawyer she is privy to a lot of information and therefore, does not invest in stocks and shares.

Though she is an equity partner with her firm, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, where she joined post completion of her LLB, she does not boast of it.”This world is full of people younger than me who have accomplished more than me,” says a modest Gunjan.

When asked to share one money advice with the world, this was her reply:” I am a strong believer in karma. Do unto others as you would have them do to you.”
