What all expenses a normal health insurance cover?

I do not have a critical illness cover at the moment. If I am diagnosed with a critical illness, will my normal health insurance policy pay the expenses for my treatment? - Prakash Kumar, Bengaluru

You need not worry for not having a critical illness policy as all health insurance policies cover expenses related to hospitalisation. The hospitalisation could be due to an accident or a critical illness. If the said waiting period as defined in the policy is over, the health insurance plan will cover all the expenses to the extent of the sum assured of your insurance policy.
