How Customers Can Plan Their Banking Activities

As the regional holidays fall in quick succession throughout the month, customers are advised to complete branch-related tasks early in the month. Cheque clearing, account updates, KYC processes, locker operations, and documentation-related activities that require the support of staff members will not be processed during holidays. Completing these activities in the first half of December will help avoid delays since the final days of the month include many state-specific closures.

Besides, customers should keep adequate cash if they reside in states where there are several consecutive holidays. Regular transactions would not be hindered as digital payment services, net banking, and ATMs work independently of the closure of branches. Customers should check the official list by the Reserve Bank of India and the list of local holidays for their state.
