The subscription window of Dhoot Transmission’s initial public offering (IPO) closed on August 12, 2026. The electronics manufacturer’s public issue saw strong investor interest during its bidding period across all categories. Following the closure of the bidding window, the share allotment status is scheduled to be finalised on August 13.
Dhoot Transmission’s public offer includes a combination of a fresh issue of 16.1 million shares aggregating to Rs 1,400 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 19.1 million shares aggregating to Rs 1,666.89 crore, bringing the total issue size to Rs 3,066.89 crore.
The public issue was subscribed to a massive 74.21 times overall by the end of the final day of bidding. Investors applied for roughly 1.85 billion shares against the 24.9 million shares set aside for bidders, arriving at this number by deducting the 10.5 million anchor-allocated shares from the total issue size.
Qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) emerged as the biggest driver of the issue, booking their quota 212.92 times. Non-institutional investors (NIIs) subscribed to their portion 51.93 times, while the retail investor quota was booked 8.12 times.
Ahead of the share allotment, Dhoot Transmission shares are being actively tracked in the unlisted market. Investors keep a close watch on the grey market premium (GMP) to gauge the expected listing price. According to current grey market trends, the stock is trading with a premium of Rs 276 above the upper end of the price band. Based on the current trends, the stock is likely to list at Rs 1,147 apiece, representing a strong listing gain of 31.69 per cent.

Dhoot Transmission IPO is a book-built issue worth Rs 3,066.89 crore. The price band for the issue was fixed between Rs 829 and Rs 871 per share. Retail investors were required to bid for a minimum lot size of 17 shares, translating to a minimum investment of Rs 14,807.
The basis of allotment is scheduled to be finalised on August 13. The initiation of refunds to unsuccessful bidders and crediting of shares to successful investors’ demat accounts will take place on August 14. Dhoot Transmission shares are set to make their stock market debut on both the NSE and BSE on August 17.
