NTPC Green Energy Share Price Zooms Nearly 11 Per Cent As Stock Extends Gains

NTPC Green Share: Shares of NTPC Green Energy zoomed nearly 11 per cent in early trade on May 22, 2025 to hit a high of Rs 117.64 apiece on the NSE. The stock extended gains for the second straight day after the company announced its financial results for the quarter and fiscal ended March 31, 2025.

NTPC Green Energy Q4 Results

In the fourth quarter and full fiscal ending March 31, 2025, the state-owned company posted double-digit growth in its consolidated revenue from operations and triple-digit growth in its consolidated profit after tax . NTPC Green Energy’s consolidated revenue from operations increased by over 22 per cent to Rs 622.27 crore in the March quarter of FY24 from Rs 508.14 crore in the corresponding quarter of the preceding fiscal.

Sequentially, the company’s revenue from operations grew by over 23 per cent from Rs 505.08 crore in the quarter ending December 31, 2024. Its revenue from operations for the fiscal ending March 31, 2025 grew by over 12 per cent to Rs 2,209.64 crore compared to Rs 1,962.6 crore in the preceding fiscal.

NTPC Green Energy’s consolidated PAT in the quarter under review also grew by more than 188 per cent to Rs 233.21 crore compared to Rs 80.95 crore. On a quarter-on-quarter (q-o-q) basis, the company’s consolidated PAT grew by over 255 per cent from Rs 65.61 crore in the December quarter of FY25, while its net profit for the full fiscal stood at Rs 474.12 crore, growing by 38 per cent from Rs 342.86 crore in the preceding fiscal.

NTPC Green Energy IPO

NTPC Green Energy is a subsidiary of state-owned power sector major NTPC. Earlier in November 2024, the company raised Rs 10,000.00 crore through an entirely fresh issue of 925.90 million shares. Shares of NTPC Green Energy made their debut on the NSE and BSE on November 27, 2024.

Notably the issue price for NTPC Green Energy initial public offering (IPO) was fixed at Rs 108 per share. The stock made a weak debut as it listed at Rs 111.50 apiece on the NSE and BSE with a listing day gain of over 3 per cent over the issue price. At the day’s high NTPC Green Energy shares were trading nearly 9 per cent higher compared to the IPO price of Rs 108. The stock was trading over 5 per cent higher compared to its listing price of Rs 111.5 apiece.

On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, shares of NTPC Green have declined over 12 per cent. In six months, the stock has gained over 0.33 per cent while in a month, shares of the company have gained nearly 4 per cent. In five days, the company’s shares have gained over 9 per cent.

At the time of writing shares of NTPC Green Energy were trading at Rs 111.71 apiece, up by 5.23 per cent on the NSE.
