Juniper Green Energy IPO GMP: Renewable energy firm Juniper Green Energy opened its Rs 1,800 crore initial public offering (IPO) for public subscription on July 30.
The company has fixed the price band at Rs 214-225 per share. Investors can apply for a minimum of 66 shares, requiring an investment of Rs 14,850 at the upper end of the price band. The IPO is entirely a fresh issue of 80 million equity shares, with no offer-for-sale component.
The company plans to use the IPO proceeds mainly to reduce debt. It will utilise around Rs 683.24 crore towards repayment or prepayment of certain borrowings, while another Rs 728.69 crore will be invested in select subsidiaries for repayment of their outstanding loans. The remaining funds will be used for general corporate purposes.
As of 1:00 PM on the opening day, the IPO was subscribed 0.05 times. The retail investors' portion was booked 0.08 times, while the non-institutional investors' (NII) quota saw 0.03 times subscription. Within the NII segment, the Rs 2 lakh to Rs 10 lakh category was subscribed 0.06 times, whereas the above Rs 10 lakh portion was subscribed 0.01 times. The qualified institutional buyers' (QIB) quota remained unsubscribed at 0.00 times. Meanwhile, the employee reservation was subscribed 0.70 times.
The grey market premium (GMP) for the Juniper Green Energy IPO stood at Rs 17 on July 30, according to websites that track such trades. Based on the upper end of the price band at Rs 225 per share, the shares are estimated to list around Rs 242, indicating a premium of about 7.60 per cent.
However, investors should note that GMP is an unofficial indicator of market sentiment and does not guarantee listing gains.
Juniper Green Energy's revenue rose to Rs 804.93 crore in FY26 from Rs 569.78 crore in FY25 and Rs 424.45 crore in FY24. Profit after tax came in at Rs 40.46 crore in FY26, as against Rs 36.48 crore in FY25 and Rs 40.06 crore in FY24. Ebitda increased to Rs 692.18 crore in FY26 from Rs 485.69 crore a year earlier and Rs 370.84 crore in FY24.
Total assets grew to Rs 19,538.45 crore in FY26 from Rs 10,356.81 crore in FY25 and Rs 4,986.44 crore in FY24. Net worth improved to Rs 122.89 crore in FY26 from Rs 116.29 crore in FY25 and Rs 108.21 crore in FY24.
However, its total debt also climbed to Rs 12,920.54 crore at the end of FY26 from Rs 5,502.53 crore in the previous financial year and Rs 2,671.70 crore in FY24, as it continued to expand its renewable energy portfolio.
Incorporated in 2011, Juniper Green Energy develops, builds, operates and maintains utility-scale renewable energy projects across solar, wind, wind-solar hybrid and firm and dispatchable renewable energy segments. As of June 30, 2026, the company had a renewable energy portfolio of 7,910.2 MW, including operational, under-construction, contracted and awarded projects.
