The Lucknow Development Authority has launched an e-auction of 149 residential plots across the key locations in the city. This offers a fresh opportunity for homebuyers and investors. This auction is a small subset of a larger plan involving 475 properties worth nearly Rs 3,000 crore across the city. The online auction will remain open till May 28, 2026, allowing the participants to digitally deposit 10 per cent of the property price as the earnest money deposit (EMD).

Prime Locations Included in the Auction

The residential plots are located in two prominent locations - Gomti Nagar and Basant Kunj. These areas have emerged as fast-growing residential zones due to upcoming projects that promote infrastructure, connectivity and contribute to urban development, according to a report in ET Realty.

Among the total listings, 12 premium plots are situated in Sector 6 of Gomti Nagar. These plots were developed on land reclaimed during anti-encroachment drives and land audits conducted by the LDA. Plot sizes range between 112 square metres and 225 square metres.

The remaining 137 plots are spread across Basant Kung Sector H, Sector I, and Gau Ghat Areas. These locations are attractive to buyers as they offer affordable pricing and future developments.

Price Range For The Listings

The auction caters to a wide range of buyers by offering plots of different sizes and budgets. The residential plot sizes vary from 25-300 square metres.

In Gomti Nagar Extension, reserve prices have been fixed at Rs 36,000 per square metre. The base prices of these plots range between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 82 lakh. Meanwhile, in Basant Kunj, the smallest plot is priced at nearly Rs 8.50 lakh, while larger plots may cost close to Rs 1 crore.

This pricing strategy reflects the varying demand patterns across Lucknow’s residential micro-markets and aims to attract both middle-income buyers and premium investors. This latest auction highlights the growing demand for plotted housing in Tier-2 cities, such as Lucknow. Improved road infrastructure, metro expansion, and upcoming institutional developments are driving interest in residential land investments across the city.
