Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay will support Stablecoins on the Solana platform, allowing users in the US to send money across borders using USDC from the last week of October 2026. According to an announcement by the Solana Foundation, the feature will be integrated into Samsung Wallet, allowing users to send remittances through the same interface they use for cards, boarding passes and IDs. Integrated fiat on- and off-ramps will facilitate conversion between local currencies and Stablecoins.

At launch, the feature will be available across 82 million Samsung Galaxy devices in the US. The feature will also be extended to additional markets, subject to local regulatory requirements.

Samsung Wallet To Support Cross-Border Stablecoin Transfers

Lily Liu, president of the Solana Foundation, said Samsung’s decision to work with Solana would bring digital dollars into everyday use through the technology company’s products.

Woncheol Chai, EVP and Head of the Digital Wallet Team at the Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics said: “Stablecoins have the potential to make moving money around the world faster and easier, and we want Galaxy users to be able to take advantage of that without having to navigate the complexity of traditional crypto tools. Solana helps us bring that experience to Samsung’s scale. Samsung Wallet is about making useful experiences feel simple and intuitive.”

Stablecoin Activity On Solana

The supply of Stablecoins on Solana has increased by nearly 20 per cent year-on-year, while the network has processed more than $5.25 trillion in Stablecoin transaction volume in 2026, according to the announcement. The release also cited PayPal and Western Union as companies using Solana for Stablecoin-related activity.

Will Samsung Wallet's Stablecoin Feature Come To India?

The feature will initially be available to users in the US, and the announcement does not specify a launch date for India. India taxes income from virtual digital assets (VDAs) at 30 per cent and requires crypto service providers carrying out specific activities to comply with anti-money laundering rules. Any expansion of the service to India would be subject to applicable regulatory requirements.
