Specialised Investment Funds (SIFs) garnered net inflows of Rs 3,782 crore in June 2026, a 171 per cent jump from Rs 1,396 crore in May. Assets under management (AUM) rose to Rs 17,858 crore from Rs 13,814 crore a month earlier, according to data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (Amfi).
The increase in inflows was led by hybrid investment strategies, which attracted Rs 2,685 crore during the month, accounting for over two-thirds of total SIF inflows. Equity-oriented investment strategies contributed the remaining Rs 1,097 crore. Debt-oriented investment strategies did not record any inflows during the month.
On the assets front, hybrid investment strategies continued to account for the larger share of the SIF segment. Their AUM rose 28.6 per cent month-on-month (m-o-m) to Rs 12,822 crore from Rs 9,970 crore in May. Equity-oriented strategies saw assets increase 31 per cent to Rs 5,036 crore from Rs 3,843 crore. Together, they lifted the overall SIF AUM by 29.3 per cent over the previous month.
Six new investment strategies were introduced during June, with three launches each in the equity-oriented and hybrid categories. Amfi data showed that these new offerings collectively mobilised Rs 1,740 crore during the month, adding to the rise in assets and inflows.
The latest numbers extend the growth seen in the SIF segment over the past few months. Total inflows increased from Rs 1,219 crore in April and Rs 1,396 crore in May to Rs 3,782 crore in June. Hybrid investment strategies recorded the sharpest m-o-m rise, with inflows climbing from Rs 744 crore in May to Rs 2,685 crore in June. Equity-oriented strategies also saw inflows increase from Rs 652 crore to Rs 1,097 crore over the same period.
Compared with March, the expansion has been even steeper. Total SIF assets have grown 68.1 per cent from Rs 10,620 crore to Rs 17,858 crore. Equity-oriented strategy assets have more than doubled from Rs 2,474 crore in March to Rs 5,036 crore in June, while hybrid strategy assets have increased from Rs 8,147 crore to Rs 12,822 crore.
The June data from Amfi shows that investor allocations remained concentrated in hybrid and equity-oriented strategies, with new fund launches also contributing to higher collections. The SIF segment closed the month with assets of Rs 17,858 crore, continuing its expansion since the product category was introduced.
