The state of Uttar Pradesh is set for a fresh wave of investment, with the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UPRERA) approving 17 real estate projects across eight districts. The projects involve a proposed investment of Rs 4,844 crore and are expected to add 5,726 residential and commercial units across the state. According to UP RERA’s press release dated November 03, 2026, the approvals were granted during the authorities' meetings held at its headquarters. The meetings were chaired by UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy, following discussions and scrutiny of the project proposals.
The projects approved include residential, commercial and mixed-use projects. These projects are expected to expand real estate infrastructure in different parts of Uttar Pradesh. The construction activity is also most likely to generate direct and indirect employment opportunities while they support businesses linked to this sector.
Lucknow has emerged as the biggest contributor to the latest round of approvals, both in terms of investments and the number of proposed units. The district has received approval for nine projects, out of which six are residential, one is mixed-use, and two are commercial. Together, these projects involve an investment of nearly Rs 2,203. This is expected to add 3,031 units.
Ghaziabad follows suit with two residential projects involving an investment of Rs 943.28 crore. These developments are expected to deliver 1,016 residential units into the market.
In Gautam Buddh Nagar, UP RERA has approved one mixed-use project worth approximately Rs 940.43 crore, which includes 456 units. Kanpur has also received approval for a residential project that involves an investment of Rs 524.66 crore, with nearly 597 units planned to be released.
The remaining approvals span 5 more districts, with residential projects planned across Moradabad, Meerut, Firozabad and Ayodhya. Meerut has received approval for one residential project worth Rs 194.28 crore, which will add 313 units. In Ayodhya, a residential project has an investment of Rs 26.61 crore and is expected to deliver 159 units. Firozabad has received approval for a residential project worth Rs 10.87 crore that comprises 48 units. Moradabad is also planning a residential project with an investment estimated at Rs 1.03 crore, which adds 12 units to the market.
This huge investment is expected to support economic activity beyond the real estate sector. UP RERA stated that the projects would benefit affiliated industries. The authority also highlights the role of state government policies, investor-friendly measures and simplified procedures in supporting real estate development across Uttar Pradesh.
UP RERA Chairman Shri Sanjay Bhoosreddy said that the Authority is continuously working to promote transparency, accountability and timely development in the real estate sector of Uttar Pradesh.
He said that timely approval of project proposals and effective monitoring of their development are helping create a better environment for both homebuyers and promoters.
