Good News For Delhi Residents! Huge Discount On New ACs And Fans

Residents in parts of Delhi now have a great chance to upgrade their old air conditioners and ceiling fans at a big discount. BSES Rajdhani and BSES Yamuna have launched an appliance exchange scheme that offers up to 63 per cent off on new energy-efficient appliances. The main aim of this programme is to help people use less electricity and reduce their power bills. It is also expected to reduce the overall load on the electricity grid, especially during the summer months.

Who Can Apply

To qualify, customers must be BSES customers, not have pending electricity bills, and have their old appliances in working condition. The new appliances are energy-efficient and from trusted brands.

BSES Rajdhani Power Limited released this following statement on the scheme

“BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) is relaunching a limited period ‘AC Replacement Scheme’ in partnership with leading air conditioner manufacturers like Voltas, Godrej, LG, Blue Star and Lloyd. It shall enable the consumers, residing in South and West Delhi, to exchange their old working ACs with the new energy efficient 5-star rated ACs at a substantial discount of up to 63 per cent on MRP. This scheme will enable you to reduce your power consumption and energy bills by practicing energy efficiency at home”

BSES Yamuna Power Limited releases the similar statement on the scheme listing its own partners. “We have launched a limited period ‘AC Replacement Scheme’ in partnership with leading air conditioner manufacturers’ like Havells (Lloyd), Godrej, Blue Star, LG & Voltas, O'General. The intent of the scheme is to promote infusion of Energy Efficient AC’s in systems to save energy for both Consumers and Society. It will enable consumers, residing in East and Central Delhi, to exchange their old ACs with new Energy Efficient 5-star rated ACs at a substantial discount of up to 60  per cent.”

Eligibility and How to Register

The BRPL AC Replacement Scheme is open to domestic consumers with a working AC installed in the same premises. The beneficiary must have no outstanding dues, and a maximum of three ACs per CA number.

Interested users can sign up online through the official BSES platforms. They need to upload identity and address proofs, along with their latest electricity bill. Once approved, the new product will be delivered and installed at their home. The old device will be picked up at the time of installation.

Registration Process for the BSES AC Replacement Scheme

Follow these steps to complete your online registration:

Step 1: Visit the Website

• Visit the BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) website:

Step 2: Access the Scheme Page

• Click on the “WHAT’S NEW” tab.

• Select “AC Replacement Scheme.”

• Alternatively, click on the scrolling banner on the homepage that also leads to the scheme.

Step 3: Start Registration

• Click “Click here for registration.”

• You will be redirected to the online registration page.

Step 4: Fill in Basic Details

• Enter the following information:

o Full Name

o CA Number (found on your electricity bill)

o Email ID

o Mobile Number

• Select your DISCOM as “BRPL.”

• Click on the “Register” button.

Step 5: Verify Mobile Number

• You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.

• complete OTP Verification received on your mobile number.

Step 6: Update Additional Information

• Enter a mandatory alternate mobile number in Section A.

• specify the details of the new AC you want to buy.

• Upload the required documents:

o Government-issued identity proof (of the registered electricity consumer)

Step 7: Accept Terms and Submit

• Tick the checkbox to accept the Terms and Conditions of the scheme.

• Click the “Submit” button.

Step 8: Receive Registration Number

• After submission, a Registration Number will be generated.

Keep this number safe for future reference.

Step 9: Track Application Status

• Log in to the portal anytime to check the status of your application (Approved / Pending / Rejected).

• Use the “View Status” option and enter your Registration Number to track progress.
