Haryana Releases 2nd Instalment Of Lado Lakshmi Yojana Credited To Over 7 Lakh Women

The Haryana Government has released the second instalment of the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana (DDLLY). They've transferred around Rs 148 crore into the bank accounts of 7 lakh women who are eligible for this scheme. The second transfer was announced by the state's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on December 03, 2025.

What is Lado Lakshmi Yojana

This scheme was launched on September 25, 2025, with the aim of bettering the financial standing and social empowerment of women across Haryana. Under this scheme, women above the age of 23 from low-income families are eligible; by low-income, it is specific to those with an annual family income of under Rs 1 lakh. Every woman receives a monthly assistance of Rs 2,100; this amount is credited directly to them through Direct Benefit Transfer.

This programme is overseen by the state's Social Justice and Empowerment (SEWA) department. The whole process is designed to be fully digital. Applicants register themselves on the Lado Lakshmi mobile app, where they further verify themselves through Aadhaar-based e-KYC, and then receive payment notifications via SMS.

Details of the Latest Disbursement

Up until now, roughly 9 lakh women have applied under the scheme, out of which 7 lakh have been found eligible. Verifications of 1.5 applicants are still pending.

The state government has announced that in the future, the instalments will be released every 3 months, with accumulated benefits transferred all in one go.

This scheme aims to improve the economic security among women from low-income households, giving them regular financial support and an independent spending power.
