Farmers are once again waiting for relief from the Centre as the 21st instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana inches closer. This scheme, launched in December 2018 and fully funded by the Government of India, provides Rs 6,000 annually to eligible land-holding farmer families. The money comes in three parts of Rs 2,000 each, credited directly to bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer.
