PM Kisan Deadline Extended: The government has issued a notice that the timeline to finish e-KYC (electronic Know Your Customer) under the PM Kisan Yojana has been extended until March 8, 2026. All farmers could not complete their KYC before deadline, will now get extra time to do the same and make themselves eligible for the PM Kisan 21st instalment.
PM Kisan Yojana offers an income support of Rs 6,000 annually to beneficiary farmer families. The payment is made in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 each and is credited directly to the beneficiaries' bank accounts under the Direct Benefit Transfer system. The scheme was implemented in 2019 and continues to benefit small and marginal farmers who possess cultivable land.
KYC Requirement For PM Kisan 21st Instalment
E-KYC is required for every beneficiary to avail of payments through PM Kisan Yojana. Farmers need to link their Aadhaar number with the PM Kisan database for verification purposes. With no KYC, the process for the 21st instalment cannot be initiated, and money will not be transferred.
Payment Details For PM Kisan Instalments
According to government update, the sum of Rs 2,000 will be deposited in every eligible farmer's account. The PM Kisan 21st instalment will be released, possibly in October this year, in batches to reach all beneficiaries in the nation.
Aadhaar-based OTP authentication can be used by farmers to finish the e-KYC process online on the official PM Kisan portal. Offline KYC is also possible at Common Service Centres, where the records are updated to facilitate timely transfer of the financial benefits.
The farmers are advised to verify their beneficiary status using the official PM Kisan portal to ensure eligibility. They should undergo the e-KYC process by March 8, 2026, to have the PM Kisan Yojana 21st instalment deposited in their accounts. The bank and Aadhaar details should be updated to prevent any delay.
The delay in the deadline for KYC gives extra time to the farmers who were unable to get it done before. With the new deadline now fixed at March 8, 2026, more farmers will be able to get the PM Kisan monetary benefits without any halt.
