Punjab National Bank (PNB) credit cardholders will face a revised fee structure from November 01, 2026. The changes will affect cash withdrawals, late payments, utility bill transactions and even reward point redemption. The revised charges will apply to eligible Visa and RuPay credit cards, making it important for customers to review their spending and repayment habits before the new rules come into effect. According to the bank’s revised service charge schedule, some transactions that were free will now be charged a fee. Charges for certain existing services will increase. The changes can affect customers who frequently withdraw using their credit cards, pay large bills and redeem points.
From November 01, 2026, cash withdrawals at domestic PNB ATMs will attract a charge of 2.5 per cent of the amount that is withdrawn or Rs 400, whichever is higher. For withdrawals at other domestic bank ATMs or overseas ATMs, the fee will be 2.5 per cent of the transaction amount or Rs 500, whichever turns out to be higher.
Earlier, the applicable cash advance fee was around 2 per cent of the amount that is withdrawn; this is subject to minimum charges that are varied by card variants. The revised structure increases the cost of accessing cash through a credit card. Another thing customers should note is that cash advances may attract interest from the date of withdrawal.
The bank has also changed the slabs for late payments; outstanding dues of Rs 500 or less will not attract a late payment fee. Dues that are between Rs 501 and Rs 1000 will attract a charge of Rs 500, while amounts between Rs 1,001 and Rs 20,000 will incur a fee of Rs 750.
Customers with outstanding dues between Rs 10,001 and Rs 50,000 will pay Rs 1,000. For any dues that exceed this threshold, the payment will be Rs 1,200. The revised slabs mean customers with small unpaid balances will also face penalties.
Utility bills paid by PNB Visa or RuPay cards will also need to review their monthly transactions. If total utility payments exceed Rs 50,000 in a billing cycle, a fee of 1 per cent of the amount will be applicable. The charge is, however, capped at Rs 2,000 per transaction.
Another change is the introduction of a Rs 99 fee for every eligible reward point redemption request. The service was previously free for applicable Visa and RuPay credit cards. Customers who request duplicate physical credit card statements for a period of up to three months will be charged Rs 50 for each month.
Customers should review the revised fee schedule and check which charges apply to their specific card variant. Paying credit card bills before the due date can help avoid late payment penalties, while maintaining sufficient funds for scheduled auto-debit payments can reduce the risk of failed transactions.
