Axis, Kotak, RBL, Union Bank, And Five More Revise FD Interest Rates, Seniors Can Avail Of Up To 9.00 Per Cent

Nine banks, including Union Bank of India, Dhanlaxmi Bank, RBL Bank, South Indian Bank, Yes Bank, Axis Bank, Kotak Bank, North-East Small Finance Bank, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank revised their fixed deposit interest rates, during the week ending April 26, 2025. Here are the details of interest rates for senior citizens (60 and above) for FDs up to Rs 3 crore.

Union Bank Of India

This public sector bank revised the rates on April 25, 2025, and offers seniors:

• 6.75 per cent for 181 days to less than one year

• 7.25 per cent for tenures between one year and 399 days

• 7.40 per cent for 400 days

• 7.00 per cent for 401 days to 455 days

• 7.65 per cent for 456 days

• 7.10 per cent for tenures between 457 days and 996 days

• 6.90 per cent for 997 days

• 7.10 per cent for more than 998 days to less than three years

• 7.20 per cent for three years

• 7.00 per cent for tenures from more than three years to 10 years

Super seniors (80 years and above) can avail of an additional 0.25 per cent (25 basis points) over these rates.

Dhanlaxmi Bank

It revised FD rates on April 21, 2025. Seniors can avail of up to 7.75 per cent. The rates for seniors are:

• 5.25 per cent for tenures from 180 days to 300 days

• 7.25 per cent for one year and above to two years

• 7.75 per cent for 400 days (use 13 months and 4 days for online FD)

• 7.00 per cent for above two years to three years

• 7.50 per cent for above three years to five years

• 7.10 per cent for above five years to 10 years

RBL Bank

The bank offers the highest 8.25 per cent interest to seniors after revising the rates on April 25, 2025. Here are the details:

• 6.00 per cent for 181 to 240 days

• 6.55 per cent for 241 to 364 days

• 8.00 per cent for tenures between 365 days and 499 days

• 8.25 per cent for 500 days

• 8.00 per cent for tenures between 501 days and 36 months

• 7.60 per cent for 36 months one day to 60 months one day

• 7.50 per cent for 60 months two days to 120 months

South Indian Bank

Post FD rate revision on April 24, 2025, by the bank, seniors can avail of a maximum of 7.75 per cent. Interest rates on FDs for them are:

• 6.50 per cent for 181 days to 270 days

• 7.00 per cent for 271 days to less than one year

• 7.30 per cent for one year

• 7.00 per cent for above one year to one year six days

• 7.75 per cent for one year seven days

• 7.00 per cent for one year 8 days to less than 18 months

• 7.55 per cent for 18 months

• 7.00 per cent for above 18 months to 30 months

• 7.20 per cent for above 30 months to less than 39 months

• 7.50 per cent for 39 months

• 7.20 per cent for above 39 months to less than five years

• 6.50 per cent for 5 years to less than 66 months

• 7.00 per cent for 66 months (green deposit)

• 6.50 per cent for above 66 months to 10 years

Yes Bank

The bank offers seniors a maximum of 8.25 per cent. Details of different tenures and interest rates available for seniors are:

• 6.75 per cent for 181 days to 271 days

• 7.00 per cent for 272 days to less than 12 months

• 7.50 per cent for 12 months

• 8.00 per cent for 12 months, one day to less than 36 months

• 8.25 per cent for 36 months to less than 60 months

• 8.25 per cent for 60 months

• 7.75 per cent for 60 months one day to 120 months

These rates are effective April 21, 2025.

Axis Bank

The bank revised the rates for FDs on April 23, 2025, and offers seniors:

• 7.20 per cent for tenures between one year and less than 15 months

• 7.55 per cent for tenures between 15 months and less than two years

• 7.40 per cent for tenures between two years and less than five years

• 7.65 per cent for five years to 10 years

Kotak Bank

The interest rates for seniors are:

• 6.50 per cent for various tenures between 181 days to 363 days

• 7.00 per cent for 364 days

• 7.30 per cent for 365 days to 389 days

• 7.50 per cent for 390 days (12 months 25 days)

• 7.65 per cent for 391 days to 23 months

• 7.55 per cent for 23 months, one day to less than two years

• 7.40 per cent for tenures between two years and five years

• 6.79 per cent for five years and above to 10 years

The bank revised the rates on April 23, 2025.

North-East Small Finance Bank

This small finance bank revised its FD rates on April 24, 2025. It offers seniors the highest 9.00 per cent interest. Here are the details for seniors:

• 7.50 per cent for six months, one day to 12 months

• 8.50 per cent for 12 months, one day to 18 months

• 9.00 per cent for 18 months one day to 18 months two day

• 8.75 per cent for 18 months, three days to 36 months

• 8.50 per cent for 36 months, one day to 60 months

• 6.75 per cent for 60 months one day to 120 months

Ujjivan Small Finance Bank

For seniors, the bank offers:

• 7.50 per cent for 6 months to less than 12 months

• 8.40 per cent for 12 months to less than 18 months

• 8.55 per cent for 18 months

• 8.25 per cent for 18 months, one day to 990 days

• 7.70 per cent for 991 days to 60 months

• 7.00 per cent for 60 months one day to 120 months
