How is my selection of funds?

OLM Desk

I am 35 and have just started investing in mutual funds through SIPs in SBI Bluechip Equity, Birla Sunlife Top 100, Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip and BNP Paribas Mid Cap. I also have a lump sum investment in Axis Long Term Equity Tax Saver Fund as part of my tax savings this year. How is my fund selection?

You have a good selection in the four funds in which you are investing systematically. The combined effect of these four funds score well on diversification across management, style and segments of the market. Instead of adding another fund you can consider increasing your allocation to any of the existing investments. All of them have a good track record and performance history over different time frames. When investing in these schemes, make sure you continue your SIPs and ensure that you review the performance once a year so that these meet your financial goals.
