A digital metamorphosis

OLM Desk

It’s not often that you witness industry stalwarts, policy influencers and thought leaders under one roof, taking cognizance of all views and engaging in a thoughtful debate. Expanding our theme ‘Digital Transformation—Driving business innovation with inclusive growth’, we took the third edition of Digital Dialogues to the IT city Bengaluru on February 17 at the My Fortune Hotel, with over 100 professionals participating in the event. Whether it was the captivating speech by TRAI Chairman Ram Sewak Sharma, voicing the government’s perspective or an enthralling talk by Srinivas Yelandur, Director, Digital Advisory Services, EY LLP, the forum was successful in bringing out different challenges being faced in the financial services industry and the opportunities that lay ahead. The three subsequent panel discussions sent the message out loud and clear—here too, the customer is the king—and industry needs to work in tandem in taking the digital route and reaching out to the customers; be it through social media or building a robust online credit ecosystem for them, or increasing customer’s financial inclusiveness through digital money.
