When should I take a health plan for my children?
Sandeep Patel, CEO and MD, Cigna TTK Health Insurance, says it’s important for you to select a health insurance plan for your child at the time of birth to avail. As part of the health plan, a newborn is covered under maternity benefit for the first 90 days and first year vaccination expenses, in addition to the maternity sum insured. It is advisable to insure the newborn, post 90-day period, in order to cover any medical expenses arising in the future.
