Bank Holidays In November 2025: See The Entire List

Indian banks will remain shut on different dates in November on regional and national holidays according to the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) official calendar. There are regional holidays that depend on local practices and customs. Although there may be holiday closures for specific occasions in some regions, banks in other regions will remain operational as usual.

Even on bank holidays, you can continue with online services like net banking, mobile banking, UPI, and ATMs for cash withdrawal. Cheque clearing, demand drafts, and other services based on the Negotiable Instruments Act would remain unavailable during bank holidays. 

November 1 (Saturday): Kannada Rajyotsava and Igas-Bagwal

Kannada Rajyotsava is Karnataka's state formation day and a festival marking the state's language, culture, and identity. Igas-Bagwal, "Festival of Lights of the Gods," is observed in Uttarakhand. It is an important folk festival among many communities living in Uttarakhand.

November 5 (Wednesday): Guru Nanak Jayanti

Guru Nanak Jayanti, the birthday of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, is a significant festival among Sikhs across the country. The day also coincides with Kartika Purnima and Rahas Purnima, both of which are celebrated as religious rituals in different parts of India. Banks will remain closed on the day in most states.

November 6 (Thursday): Nongkrem Dance Festival

Banks would remain shut only in Meghalaya on this day. Nongkrem Dance Festival is one of the prominent Khasi tribe festivals and is celebrated annually. It is a festival to welcome the closing of the harvest season and is renowned for its vibrant traditional dances and rituals.

November 7 (Friday): Wangala Festival

Meghalaya banks shall remain closed on the Wangala Festival, also known as the 100 Drums Festival. It is an important festival among the Garo tribe, where they celebrate the end of the harvest season and pay thanks to their deity for a good harvest.

November 8 (Saturday): Kanakadasa Jayanthi

Banks in Karnataka will remain closed on this day. The festival commemorates the birthday of Sri Kanaka Dasa, a 15th-century saint and poet who was a major contributor to Kannada literature and spiritualism.

Apart from regional holidays, banks across India will follow the regular weekend closure schedule.

• November 1 (Saturday): Banks will remain open except in Karnataka and Uttarakhand.

• November 2 (Sunday): Banks closed throughout the country

• November 8 (Second Saturday): Banks closed nationwide

• November 9 (Sunday): Banks closed nationwide

• November 16 (Sunday): Banks closed nationwide

• November 22 (Fourth Saturday): Banks closed nationwide

• November 23 (Sunday): Banks closed nationwide

• November 30 (Sunday): Banks closed nationwide

Indian banks will be closed for a total of 13 days in November 2025, depending on local holidays and weekends. You should check the official and local holiday list to ensure no inconvenience is caused. Fundamental digital banking services such as UPI, net banking, and ATMs will remain operational as usual, enabling seamless access to fundamental transactions even when physical branches are not operational.
