Manju Yagnik, Nahar Group
Real Estate sector has been often thought of as a man’s domain. However, it is no exaggeration to say that more and more women are now getting involved in decision making process when it comes to investing in real estate. And one such woman is Manju Yagnik, Vice Chairperson, Nahar Group and Vice President, NAREDCO (Maharashtra). She is one of the many influential women in the real estate sector.
Yagnik has been associated with Nahar Group for over two decades. After completing her graduation from Kurukshetra University, she decided to use her skills in a profession that was challenging but yet matched her passion. She entered the real estate industry by joining the Nahar Group. Creating unique land spaces, coming up with unique initiatives for consumers, understanding consumer behavior, being a decision maker, managing people, she has been a part of every activity in this group since then.
Besides her extremely busy schedule, Yagnik also takes keen professional and personal interest in the social, educational, sports and cultural activities. She has been a state level hockey player and has played and won various trophies for her state. She is passionate about rifle shooting and flying; she owns a flying license as well. She has extensive global networks and loves to travel to various undiscovered places of the world.
With over 20 years of experience in the Real Estate sector, Yagnik has donned almost every hat from land acquisition to planning, from interacting with architects, landscape designers, and structural specialists to construction, vendor negotiations, marketing and customer development.
Among her achievements is successfully designing marketing and communication plan for NRIs and her success can be gauged from the fact that currently over 30 per cent of residents of her projects are NRIs.
Yagnik has presented several papers on ‘Construction Standards and Real Estate Opportunities in Emerging India’ at various international stages as the lead speaker. Among other accolades, she has been awarded Femina Woman Super Achiever Award for the year, Most Admired Business Leader, Women Super Achiever in Real Estate, Woman Entrepreneur of The Year, Real Estate Icon of India, and Udaan Sanman - Business Woman of the Year.
