She further adds, “From the ‘80s onwards, I became more of a defender of human rights. In 1981, my father, who was a renowned university professor in Iran, was assassinated. He had to die a brutal death because he was a follower of Baha’I.” She recalls, “After his assassination, I was requested to write a book narrating his story and how we, as the Baha’i believers, react to violence with peace, education, and understanding,” she smilingly adds, “It was after I did all these in my life that I came to India, and the decision was taken in just 20 minutes.” She further adds, “It was after all these incidents that I came to India, and the decision was taken in just 20 minutes.”
