Justin Sun, a millionaire entrepreneur originating from China, attended the event as a key investor and advisor to World Liberty Financial, the Trump family's cryptocurrency enterprise that has generated significant money. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission paused its 2023 fraud case against Sun, citing public interest, effectively clearing him for now.

Investors spent over $148 million on $TRUMP coins to ensure their seats at the dinner, with the top 25 holders contributing the majority of that total. These significant supporters received VIP benefits like a private meeting with Trump and one-of-a-kind watches for $100,000 each. Reuters reported that estimates that companies linked to the Trump family control 80 per cent of the remaining $TRUMP coin supply.
