Angel One's 8 Muhurat Stock Picks For Samvat 2083

Here are the eight stocks recommended by Angel One for Samvat 2083.

1. ICICI Bank

ICICI Bank’s strong retail, small and medium enterprise (SME) and corporate franchises, along with improving asset quality, support its growth outlook.

In Q2 FY27, the bank’s standalone profit after tax (PAT) rose 20.1 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 14,843 crore. Net interest income (NII) increased 17.7 per cent to Rs 25,339 crore, while gross non-performing assets (GNPA) declined to 1.20 per cent from 1.58 per cent a year earlier.

However, net interest margin (NIM) moderated to 4.18 per cent from 4.36 per cent in the previous quarter due to higher-cost deposits. Management expects some further pressure in Q3 FY27, followed by a recovery from Q4.

2. Northern Arc Capital

Northern Arc Capital provides credit to underserved households and businesses. Its growing direct-to-customer (D2C) portfolio is a key growth driver.

The company's lending assets under management (AUM) increased 26 per cent YoY to Rs 16,855 crore. D2C lending crossed Rs 10,000 crore, accounting for 64 per cent of total lending AUM.

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, consolidated PAT rose 41 per cent YoY to Rs 114 crore, while standalone NII grew 44.2 per cent to Rs 496 crore. GNPA declined to 1 per cent and net non-performing assets (NPA) stood at 0.5 per cent.

Management is targeting annual AUM growth of 22-25 per cent and aims to double AUM by FY29. It expects return on assets (ROA) to exceed 3 per cent over the coming years.

3. Aarti Pharmalabs

Aarti Pharmalabs has a strong position in xanthine derivatives, active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) and contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) operations. It is India's largest manufacturer of xanthine derivatives, with a 15-20 per cent share of the global market.

In Q1 FY27, consolidated revenue increased 38.7 per cent YoY to Rs 536 crore, while net profit rose 65.4 per cent to Rs 76.1 crore. Standalone earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) grew 40 per cent to Rs 133 crore, with a margin of 24.8 per cent.

The company has expanded its xanthine capacity to 9,600 tonnes per annum (TPA), while additional facilities are expected to support its CDMO business. Management expects CDMO growth of 40-50 per cent in FY27 and standalone Ebitda margins of 22-25 per cent.

4. Shanti Gold International

Shanti Gold International is a business-to-business (B2B) jewellery manufacturer supplying organised jewellery retailers. Its growth is supported by higher volumes and capacity expansion.

In Q1 FY27, volumes increased 61.6 per cent YoY to 522 kg, while revenue surged 145 per cent to Rs 716 crore. PAT grew 47 per cent to Rs 50.5 crore.

The company expects FY27 revenue growth of 50-60 per cent and volume growth of 30-40 per cent. Its new Marol facility, with an annual capacity of around 4,000 kg, began operations in June 2026. A 1,200 kg facility in Jaipur is expected to be commissioned by November-December 2026.

Angel One has flagged negative operating cash flow as a concern, given the company's ready-inventory business model. It has also cautioned that the stock's sharp rally has reduced valuation comfort.

5. Ratnaveer Precision Engineering

Ratnaveer Precision Engineering is India's largest producer and exporter of stainless-steel washers. It is also diversifying into electronics materials through its copper-clad laminate (CCL) project.

In Q1 FY27, revenue increased 18.9 per cent YoY to Rs 314.6 crore, while PAT rose 22 per cent to Rs 18.2 crore. Its Ebitda margin stood at 11.4 per cent.

The CCL project was around 60 per cent complete at the time of the report, with commercial production targeted for November 2026. The first phase is expected to generate revenue of Rs 108 crore, Ebitda of Rs 22 crore and PAT of Rs 12 crore.

However, the brokerage has flagged execution risks and the possibility of near-term dilution in return on equity (ROE) as the company expands its equity base.

6. Engineers India

Engineers India's strong order book and growing consultancy business provide visibility on revenue growth. The government-owned company operates across refining, petrochemicals, oil and gas, infrastructure and green energy.

Its consolidated revenue increased 27 per cent to Rs 3,928 crore in FY26, while PAT rose 19 per cent to Rs 692 crore. The order book stood at Rs 14,424 crore in June 2026, with consultancy accounting for around 73 per cent.

For FY27, management has guided for order inflows of Rs 8,000 crore, revenue growth of 10-15 per cent and an operating margin of around 16 per cent. It expects the turnkey business to recover in the second half of the financial year.

AGI Infra is a Jalandhar-based residential and commercial real estate developer focused on Punjab's urban centres and Tier-II cities. It has built more than 5,000 homes and plans to launch projects across mid-income, affordable and lifestyle segments in FY27 and FY28.

The company has a healthy ROE of around 25 per cent. However, working-capital days have stretched to around 211, and operating cash flow was negative in FY26. Angel One expects earnings growth to be supported by new project launches and stable EBITDA margins.

8. Apollo Micro Systems

Apollo Micro Systems operates in defence electronics and weapon systems and has expanded into explosives and integrated defence solutions. The Hyderabad-based company participates in more than 150 indigenous defence programmes, including BrahMos-NG, Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air Missile (QRSAM), Pinaka and Akash-NG.

In Q2 FY27, consolidated revenue increased 72 per cent YoY to Rs 388 crore, while Ebitda rose 88 per cent to Rs 111 crore. PAT increased 54 per cent to Rs 46 crore. Revenue for the first half of FY27 grew 78 per cent to Rs 639 crore, and the order book reached Rs 1,765 crore.

Angel One's Outlook For Samvat 2083

Angel One expects Indian equities to remain supported by domestic economic growth, a recovery in private investment and improving corporate earnings. The brokerage projects India's gross domestic product (GDP) growth at 7.1 per cent for FY27, while the International Monetary Fund (IMF) also expects the country to remain the fastest-growing major economy.

The brokerage believes that consumption demand remains resilient. Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections increased 11.6 per cent to Rs 12.46 lakh crore during April-September 2026. Passenger vehicle sales reached a record 46.43 lakh units in FY26, and digital payments continued to grow.

Government capital expenditure remains another support for the economy. The Union Budget 2026-27 has allocated a record Rs 12.2 lakh crore towards capital expenditure. Private investment is also showing signs of improvement, with gross fixed capital formation growing 11.9 per cent in Q1 FY27, compared with 5.8 per cent a year earlier.

However, inflation and higher interest rates remain concerns. Retail inflation rose to 5.54 per cent in September 2026, while the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) raised the repo rate by 25 basis points to 5.50 per cent in October and shifted its stance to calibrated tightening.

On valuations, Angel One noted that the Nifty was trading at around 17 times its 12-month forward earnings as of October 2026, below its 15-year average of 19.1 times and 10-year average of 20.3 times. The brokerage expects Nifty earnings to rebound around 15 per cent in FY27, supported by capital expenditure, investment and consumption recovery.

It sees opportunities across banks and non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), automobiles, capital goods, defence, cement, power, consumer, healthcare, information technology and telecom.
