Lucknow Housing Scheme: LDA To Launch 3,105 Plots On September 24

Lucknow homebuyers and plot seekers will soon get access to many more residential options as the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is set to launch its Varun Vihar and Naimish Nagar housing schemes on September 24, 2026. Online registration for a total of 3,105 residential plots under the two schemes is also opening on the same day. The two schemes are among LDA’s major planned residential developments and are being rolled out together. The first phase will offer 1,926 plots in Varun Vihar and 1,179 plots in Naimish Nagar.

LDA Varun Vihar Scheme

The Varun Vihar scheme is being developed across nearly 6,580 acres along the Agra Expressway, near Mohan Road. According to details released by LDA, the first phase will comprise 1,926 residential plots. These are segmented into two sections of the scheme: the Kailash Khand will have 1,218 plots, while 708 plots will be developed in Kashi Khand. The larger township is planned with extensive green areas. The project is expected to create a large planned residential development along the Agra Expressway corridor, with provisions for housing while also leaving scope for economic activity.

Naimish Nagar Housing Scheme

The Maimish Nagar Scheme is planned across roughly 3,600 acres around IIM Road and Sitapur Road in Bakshi Ka Talab. The project is intended to support the expansion of Lucknow towards the northern part of the city. Its first phase will have 1,179 residential plots; of these, 669 plots are located in Brahma Khand, and 510 plots in Bhoomi Khand.

Plot Sizes And Registration

The residential plots across the two schemes are expected to range from 72 square metres to 450 square metres. This provides options across different plot requirements. Online registration for the 3,105 plots will open on September 24, 2026. Prospective applicants should check the official LDA registration portal and scheme documents for the eligibility conditions, plot categories, prices, payment schedule, application requirements and allotment process before applying.

This scheme is significant as it is a huge addition to Lucknow’s planned residential land supply. The two schemes are located in two different growth sectors of the city.
