Shares of Milky Mist Dairy Food made their debut on the NSE and the BSE on August 18, 2026, with strong gains. On the BSE, the stock listed at Rs 165 per share, up 17.85 per cent from the upper end of the issue price band of Rs 140 apiece on the exchanges. On the NSE, the stock listed at Rs 165 per share, up by 17.85 per cent compared to the issue price.

Applicants who were successfully allotted a minimum of one lot or 107 shares would have made a profit of around Rs 2,675 [(Rs 165 - Rs 140) x 107] after the stock listed on the exchanges. The company’s market capitalisation stood at Rs 12,702.42 crore as 1.43 million shares of the company changed hands.

Milky Mist Dairy Food’s initial public offering (IPO) was a book-built issue worth Rs 1,553.00 crore. The packaged dairy company’s issue consisted of a fresh issue of Rs 1,428.00 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of Rs 125 crore. The price band was fixed at Rs 133-140 per share. The minimum lot size for retail investors was fixed at 107 shares, aggregating to an investment of  Rs 14,980.

Milky Mist Dairy Food IPO: Subscription

Milky Mist IPO saw overwhelming demand and was oversubscribed 56.12 times during its subscription period from August 11 to 13. Investors across categories placed bids for 4.59 billion shares compared to the net offer size of 81.69 million shares available after anchor allocations.

The qualified institutional buyers (QIB) category led the charge, being subscribed a staggering 155.83 times. The non-institutional investors (NII) quota was booked 34.91 times, while the retail investor category was subscribed 8.41 times. Employees of the company booked their quota 12.43 times.

The promoters of the value-added dairy product manufacturer, Sathishkumar T. and Anitha S., diluted a portion of their stakes through the OFS. Following the listing of the stock, the overall promoter shareholding was reduced to 79.51 per cent.

Milky Mist Dairy Food will use the net proceeds from the fresh issue to repay or prepay certain outstanding borrowings, finance capital expenditure for the expansion and modernisation of its Perundurai manufacturing facility, fund the deployment of visi coolers, ice cream freezers, and chocolate coolers, and for general corporate purposes.

At the time of writing, shares of Milky Mist Dairy Food were trading at Rs 170.70 apiece up by 3.45 per cent on the BSE and at Rs 180 . 11 apiece, up by 9.16 per cent on the NSE.
