Axis Mutual Fund has announced the launch of the Axis Nifty500 Momentum 50 Index Fund, an open-ended fund aimed at tracking a significant market index.
This fund's NFO will open from January 24, 2025, until February 7, 2025. Investors can start with a minimum investment of Rs 100 and enhance their contributions in multiples of Re 1. Karthik Kumar and Sachin Relekar will manage the fund.
The aim of the Axis Nifty500 Momentum 50 Index Fund is to offer exposure to the 50 most prominent momentum-driven stocks. By combining companies from the large, mid and small-cap sectors, the Nifty500 Momentum 50 Index offers investors a simplified method that eliminates the need to oversee many market-cap-based momentum strategies.
B Gopkumar, MD & CEO, of Axis Mutual Fund said, “We are excited to announce the Axis Nifty500 Momentum 50 Index Fund, as part of our continued commitment to offer investors with new investment solutions. With passive strategies continuing to gain popularity, we believe that this fund will offer a unique opportunity to invest in India’s most promising momentum-driven stocks, all while keeping costs low and ensuring broad diversification.”
Ashish Gupta, CIO, Axis Mutual Fund said, “The Nifty500 Momentum 50 Index has shown resilience in India's dynamic market environment, often outpacing broader market indices by identifying stocks that are poised for growth. We believe that the fund's broad-based approach, coupled with the potential for sustainable long-term returns, will serve as a robust vehicle for wealth creation over the long term, making it an attractive option for both new and experienced investors.”
Axis Mutual Funds suggests this fund for investors looking to gain exposure to India’s high-performing stocks and capitalize on market momentum. It is suitable for those seeking a passive investment strategy with diversification across large, mid, and small-cap companies, and for investors with a long-term horizon and moderate risk tolerance.
