The Canara Robeco Equity Hybrid Fund follows an aggressive hybrid strategy, combining equity and debt exposure to target long-term growth. Since its inception in February 1993, a monthly SIP of Rs 10,000 has grown to Rs 5.80 crore as of December 31, 2024. The fund primarily invests in equities, with a portion allocated to debt and money market instruments to balance risk and stability.

For those who invested via a monthly SIP of Rs 10,000 since the fund’s inception, the total contribution would have been Rs 38.30 lakh by December 31, 2024. This investment would have appreciated to Rs 5.80 crore, reflecting an XIRR of 13.90 per cent, highlighting the significant benefits of long-term investing.

As of December 31, 2024, according to Canara Robeco, the fund manages Assets Under Management (AUM) of Rs 10,747.36 crore. In the last year, the fund has returned 15.23 per cent, outperforming its benchmark, the CRISIL Hybrid 35+65 – Aggressive Index, which delivered a return of 12.69 per cent, and the additional benchmark, BSE SENSEX TRI, which returned 9.41 per cent.

The fund also outperformed over 3 and 5 years, with a return of 11.91 per cent and 15.53 per cent, respectively. In comparison, the benchmark CRISIL Hybrid 35+65 – Aggressive Index returned 11.85 per cent over 3 years and 14.59 per cent over 5 years. The additional benchmark, BSE SENSEX TRI, returned 11.69 per cent over 3 years and 14.99 per cent over 5 years.

Since its inception, the fund has achieved a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11.74 per cent. If you invested Rs 10,000 at the time the fund was launched, it would have risen to Rs 3.46 lakh by December 31, 2024.

As of the latest available data, according to Canara Robeco, the fund’s portfolio consists of 48.01 per cent in large-cap stocks, 14.19 per cent in mid-cap stocks, 7.83 per cent in small-cap stocks, and 29.97 per cent in debt, cash, and other instruments. This diversified allocation helps balance risk while positioning the fund for continued growth.

According to Canara Robeco, this Equity Hybrid Fund is an open-ended aggressive hybrid scheme, primarily investing in a mix of equity and equity-related instruments along with a portion in debt and money market instruments. This balanced approach aims to offer long-term growth potential through equities while providing a level of stability through fixed income.

The equity portion of the fund is managed by Shridatta Bhandwaldar, Head of Equities, and Ennette Fernandes, Fund Manager, while the debt portion is managed by Avnish Jain, Head of Fixed Income, according to Canara Robeco.
