NFO Details

The NFO is available for subscription from March 5, 2025, to March 19, 2025. Investors can begin with a minimum lumpsum investment of Rs 5,000 or choose SIPs starting at Rs 500 for a minimum of 12 installments. The fund follows the Nifty 100 Total Returns Index (TRI) as its benchmark and is managed by Nirali Bhansali, Umeshkumar Mehta, and Dhawal Ghanshyam Dhanani. Both the scheme and its benchmark carry a Very High-Risk classification.

According to Samco Mutual Fund, the scheme aims for long-term capital appreciation by investing in large-cap equities using Samco’s C.A.R.E. momentum system, which selects stocks based on price action, revenue growth, and earnings acceleration. However, there is no guarantee of achieving the investment objective.

Also, the Samco Large Cap Fund will allocate between 80 per cent and 100 per cent of its net assets to equity and equity-related instruments of large-cap companies. It also has the flexibility to invest up to 20 per cent in equity instruments of other companies, up to 20 per cent in debt and money market instruments, and up to 10 per cent in units of REITs and InvITs.

Viraj Gandhi, CEO of SAMCO Asset Management Private Limited, stated on the launch, “In the current market environment, large-cap stocks in India have become attractively priced relative to mid and small caps. With strong fundamentals and improved earnings visibility, the top 100 companies by market cap are positioned to lead the next phase of market growth. This makes it an opportune time to launch the SAMCO Large Cap Fund, which is designed to capitalize on this opportunity through a disciplined, C.A.R.E. momentum-driven strategy focused on absolute, relative momentum, and dynamic risk management.”

Umeshkumar Mehta, CIO of SAMCO Asset Management Private Limited, mentioned: “Large-cap companies offer stability and long-term wealth creation. With an active stock selection process, the goal is to surpass traditional passive large-cap strategies by focusing on stocks with strong momentum indicators. A disciplined approach helps in optimizing the portfolio for risk-adjusted returns.”
