The FIFA World Cup 2026 will be hosted across 16 cities in Canada, Mexico and the US. It will be the first edition of the tournament featuring 48 teams, with a total of 104 matches scheduled across the three host countries.

Kraken will support fan-focused initiatives during the FIFA World Cup 2026 aimed at engaging global football audiences. The partnership will begin on June 10 with the FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert series.

FIFA’s Chief Business Officer Romy Gai said that innovation has always played a central role in how FIFA evolves and enhances the fan experience. He added that as FIFA prepares to welcome the world to the biggest FIFA World Cup in history, the organisation is pleased to partner with Kraken, which shares its commitment to innovation and technology.

“Football is the one thing that moves the whole planet at once,” said Kraken Co-CEO Arjun Sethi. He added that the FIFA World Cup 2026 will showcase an open and borderless financial system accessible through mobile devices

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is scheduled to run from June 11 to July 19, 2026. According to a FIFA release, it is expected to attract a global audience of over six billion viewers.

Kraken has announced a promotional campaign offering users a chance to win two tickets to the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final, along with flights and accommodation. The offer is available to eligible participants who sign up using the code ‘FWC26’ between June 9 and July 9, subject to terms and conditions.
