The 21st instalment of the PM Kisan scheme will be credited to the bank accounts of eligible beneficiary farmers after completion of Aadhaar-based OTP e-KYC verification. This is to ensure timely and accurate disbursal of funds.
The PM-KISAN scheme, launched on February 24, 2019, began with the first installment of Rs 2,000 transferred to farmers’ accounts by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Eligible farmers receive a total of Rs 6,000 per year under the initiative, divided into three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 each. The 20th instalment involved the release of Rs 20,500 crore, benefiting 97 million farmers across India.
According to government guidelines, it is mandatory to complete e-KYC in order to receive the next payment directly into Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts.
The 21st instalment of the PM-Kisan scheme has already been credited to the accounts of farmers in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Uttarakhand, following the severe floods and landslides that affected these states in September 2025. Also, the 21st instalment was disbursed to farmers in Jammu and Kashmir on October 7, 2025.
According to media reports, farmers in other states may receive the 21st installment of the PM-Kisan scheme by mid-November, likely after the Bihar election results on November 14, 2025. However, the ministry has not provided any official confirmation regarding the release date.
Farmers must complete their e-KYC to receive payments under the PM-Kisan scheme. Online e-KYC can be completed on the official PM-Kisan website (pmkisan.gov.in) by going to the Farmers Corner, by entering the Aadhaar number and connected cellphone number, authenticating by OTP, and submitting the form. It can also be done using biometric authentication through the PM-Kisan mobile app.
Farmers can do offline e-KYC by visiting a Common Service Centre (CSC) or a Student Service Hub (SSK) and using Aadhaar-based biometric verification.
As the 21st PM-Kisan instalment nears, eligible farmers must complete their e-KYC to receive payments without delay. Beneficiaries should verify their status and complete the process in advance to ensure smooth disbursal of funds.
