PM Kisan Samman Nidhi 21st Instalment: Physical Verification May Be Necessary For Some Farmers

The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi is a central scheme, which offers monetary support to landholding farmers throughout the country. Every registered farmer gets a total yearly amount of Rs 6,000. February 1, 2019 was decided as the cut-off date for this scheme, if a land is purchased after that date, the farmer will not be eligible for this scheme. Furthermore, instances of benefit payments to more than one member of a family are reported. In such cases, payment is suspended until it has been verified. Who is Not Eligible for PM Kisan Instalments

Certain groups of people are not eligible for PM Kisan benefits. They include all institutional landholders and those who have paid income tax in the previous assessment year. Those with family members in the government service or those on constitutional positions are also not eligible. Retired pensioners getting over Rs 10,000 a month, except multi-tasking personnel, are not eligible. Likewise, former and current occupants of legislative positions, ministers, mayors, and chairpersons of district panchayats cannot be given the payments. All current or retired officers and staff of central or state government ministries, departments, attached offices, autonomous bodies, and local bodies are also not entitled, with the exception of multi-tasking personnel.
