WBHIDCO Launches HIDCO Lottery 2025 for Residential Plots in Gitabitan Township, Find More Details

The West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (WBHIDCO) has initiated the 2025 round of its residential lottery under the Gitabitan Township project in Birbhum district. This comes as a third announcement after the sale in July 2024 of 154 residential plots on 99-year lease terms.

The lottery in New Town, Kolkata held on 14th August 2024 had distributed the land across 3 different categories (A, B, C) which measured around 2.5 to 6 cottah in size. Applicants were selected via a randomised lottery system.

The Gitabitan Township, located in Santiniketan, spans 100.5 acres. The first phase includes 54 plots: 20 plots from Category A (400 sq. m), 28 in Category B (267 sq. m), six under Category C (168 sq. m).

According to the notification, each plot comes with a pre-approved building plan. The lease premiums for these plots are as follows:

Category A: Rs 22,54,371

Category B: Rs 15,09,357

Category C: Rs 9,43,703

These figures include planning and sanction fees but exclude applicable taxes. The cost of construction, it is noted, will be borne separately by the allottee.

Basic infrastructure, roads, lighting, boundary enclosures, landscaping, and entry gates will be built by WBHIDCO prior to handover. Upon completion, these assets will be transferred to an association or cooperative of the allottees.

Who Is Eligible

To qualify, applicants must be Indian citizens, permanent residents of West Bengal, and at least 18 years old. They must not own residential property in their name or that of their immediate family. For those applying under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) quota, the monthly household income ceiling is Rs 25,000.

Application Procedure

• Sign up using your personal information and a working mobile number and email address

• Complete the application and upload all documentation necessary to complete your application.

• Take a print out of the Application fees receipt

• Pay application fees Fill and Submit the Application Form Pay the application fee of Rs.33,000/- through the PayU.

• Send the Acknowledgement Slip after filling it to yourself and keep it safe.

The documents that one needs to have are Aadhaar, income evidence, last 3 months bank statement, passport size photo, signature (your's and the co-applicant's), Identity proof, Address proof, passport-size photograph of you, proof of residence, the details of your bank account, and the Pan Card. Applications are limited to one per household.

Draw Result

To access results, applicants must log into the official WBHIDCO website and enter their registration number on the "HIDCO Lottery Results" portal. The selected list is published publicly and reflects the draw held in August.
