E-Sampada, an integrated digital platform to carry out a series of activities related to allotment and management of central government estate services digitally, was launched in December 2020. The unified portal brought together services which were earlier scattered over various websites and applications. Beginning now, E-Sampada will act as the only window for a central government employee looking to hire residential accommodation, booking a government guest house or making a complaint about a place.

Developed under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, the portal embodied the government's 'One Nation, One System' vision by merging older platforms such as gpra.nic in, holidayhomes.nic.in, and the m-Awas mobile app into a single interface. This initiative was part of a broader digitisation push aimed at increasing transparency, ensuring accountability, and improving citizen convenience.

Now it is the e-application for all categories of hosts under Estate Management. This included host accommodation need assessment, allotment, and advance possession handing over, which includes even household connection related work order generation, etc., grievance registration and tracking area on e-sampada framework.

This mechanism of digital tracking eliminates the requirement for physical follow-ups and provides real-time visibility.

Can virtual hearings be done through E-Sampada?

An open platform for grievance redressal which facilitates online hearings. If a complaint is of a higher magnitude or requires further examination, the individuals involved might be asked to do an online presentation. The hearing process occurs in the portal, allowing non-local users to be a part of the hearings without having to visit government offices.

What is the Resolution Timeline for Complaints?

There is no fixed timeline by which the portal publicly states they will be resolved. For example, e-Samadhan (which is another government digital platform) usually aims for resolution within 30 days. However, the timelines are different for each type of complaint and follow a back-and-forth system with various offices to establish that the process is usually completed much quicker than traditional paper-based systems.
