Tesla has launched its second showroom in India, located at Worldmark 2, Aerocity, Delhi. The location is suitable for people living or working near the airport and major corporate offices. This follows the opening of their first showroom in Mumbai in July, 2025.
Tesla made its official debut in India on July 15 by opening its first showroom at Maker Maxity Mall in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex which marks the electric vehicle giant's entry into the world's third-largest automobile market. Following this, Tesla has expanded its footprint by launching a second showroom in Delhi's strategic Aerocity area, bringing its innovative electric vehicles closer to consumers in the national capital region.
Tesla's new showroom in Delhi measures 8,200 square feet and will service consumers throughout the national capital region. It includes the latest V4 Superchargers, which employ fast DC charging, as well as four Destination Charging stalls with AC chargers. The Superchargers offer peak speeds of up to 250 kW, with charging costs at Rs 24 per kW, while the slower 11 kW chargers cost Rs 11 per kW.
Currently, Tesla sells only the Model Y in India, priced at Rs 59.89 lakh for the rear-wheel-drive model and Rs 67.89 lakh for the long-range rear-wheel-drive version. These prices are ex-showroom, which means they do not include additional fees such as taxes, registration, or insurance. Tesla has also announced India's first self-driving package, which costs an extra Rs 6 lakh on top of the base price.
Using these chargers, the recently introduced Tesla Model Y can gain up to 267 km of driving range with only 15 minutes of charging.
According to PTI, Tesla's Regional Director for South East Asia, Isabel Fan, announced at the Aerocity showroom launch that the company plans to set up supercharging stations in Gurugram and Noida, along with another location in Saket. In the Mumbai region, Tesla is also planning additional supercharger installations at Lower Parel, Navi Mumbai, and Thane, supplementing the existing station at Bandra Kurla Complex. Fan further hinted that Bangalore would be among the next cities to receive Tesla's charging infrastructure.
