The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has extended the last date to update Aadhaar details for free by three months, from June 14 to September 14, 2024. Aadhaar details, such as your name, date of birth, address, etc., are used in various financial transactions, including demat and bank accounts, post office investments, and filing income tax returns, among others, for verifying Know-Your-Customer (KYC) information. So, if you want to update your Aadhaar details online for free, you can do it by September 14, 2024. However, in offline mode, you will need to pay a fee. - Change in name after marriage
- Change in address
- Wrong information on Aadhaar card
- Details printed in a language other than the preferred language of the Aadhaar holder
