Bitcoin Hits New All-Time High of $118,000, Ethereum Crosses $3,000

Cryptocurrency markets continued their upward momentum on Friday, with Bitcoin hitting a new all-time high of $118,336.54 and Ethereum climbing past the $3,000-mark to trade at $3,022.82. The broader market showed steady gains, reflecting positive investor sentiment. At the time of writing, the total crypto market cap saw a marginal gain of 2.80 per cent to $3.47 trillion, even as the 24-hour trading volume increased by 41.02 per cent to $140.69 billion.

Bitcoin was the most trending cryptocurrency. Its price was up by 2.32 per cent to $118,336.54. Its 24-hour trading volume was $106.18 billion. Elsewhere, Ethena ENA was the top gainer. It was up by 22.40 per cent, and its 24-hour trading volume was $542.56 million. All major cryptocurrencies were trading in the green today, with no significant losers among the top tokens.

The DeFi market cap was at $66.93 billion, Coinmarketcap.com reported.

Ashish Singhal, co-founder, CoinSwitch, said that Bitcoin’s new all-time high is a clear sign that confidence in crypto is growing stronger. Institutional demand is rising, supported by more favourable signals from the Trump administration.

“This rally is not just about price; it reflects how crypto is maturing into a recognised asset class within the global financial system. India really can’t afford to be on the sidelines. A time- bound plan to regulate crypto in India is the need of the hour,” he added.

Bitcoin (BTC): Bitcoin prices surged by 6.60 per cent to $118,336.54 in the past 24 hours, setting a new all-time high. Its 24-hour trading volume was $106.18 billion. It is currently ranked number 1 on Coinmarketcap, based on market cap. Bitcoin’s market dominance was 62.60 per cent.

Ethereum (ETH): Ethereum prices were up by 8.32 per cent to $3,022.82. Its 24-hour trading volume was $37.35 billion, and its market dominance was 9.2 per cent.

Tether (USDT): Tether was trading at $1. It was up by 0.02 per cent. Its 24-hour trading volume was $135.46 billion. It is currently ranked third on Coinmarketcap.

Other Altcoins

Solana prices were up by 5.48 per cent to $165.93. Its 24-hour trading volume was $6.25 billion.

Avalanche AVAX was trading at $21.07, up by 8.27 per cent. Its 24-hour trading volume was $597.01 million.

Cardano ADA was trading at $0.6960, up by 11.85 per cent. Its 24-hour trading volume was $1.04 billion.

Meme Coins

Dogecoin was up by 10.06 per cent, with a 24-hour price of $0.1995.

Shiba Inu was up by 4.6 per cent to $0.00001242

Decentralised Finance

DeFi Coin was up by 8.98 per cent, and it was trading at $0.00001360.

Yearn Finance was up by 6.24 per cent to $5,773.98, with a 24-hour trading volume of $21.71 million.
