Crypto Price Today: Bitcoin Falls Below $116,000, Ethereum Trades Above $3,500

Crypto prices showed little momentum on Friday, with Bitcoin slipping slightly and Ethereum holding firm. At the time of writing, the total crypto market cap saw a marginal decline of 0.92 per cent to $3.78 trillion, even as the 24-hour trading volume increased by 5.14 per cent to $222 billion.

Measurable Data Token MDT was the most trending cryptocurrency. Its price was up by 96.43 per cent to $0.03114. Its 24-hour trading volume was $153.49 million. Elsewhere, Maple Finance SYRUP was the top gainer. It was up by 31.81 per cent, and its 24-hour trading volume was $454.51 million. Pump.fun PUMP was the top loser, and it was down by 18.87 per cent, while its 24-hour trading volume was $630.89 million.

The DeFi market cap was at $48.93 billion, Coinmarketcap.com reported.

CoinSwitch said, “Bitcoin has broken through the key support level near $116,000, triggering over half a billion dollars in liquidations over the past 24 hours. With bearish momentum building after a prolonged rally, it looks increasingly likely that BTC will test the next major support around $113,800. Adding to the downward pressure, the U.S. is set to reimpose tariffs starting August 1st, which could spark another wave of selling. Ethereum, meanwhile, is maintaining its momentum with consistent positive inflows, now stretching beyond 20 consecutive days.”

Ethereum (ETH): Ethereum prices were up by 1.85 per cent to $3,632.35. Its 24-hour trading volume was $45.36 billion, and its market dominance was 9.2 per cent.

Tether (USDT): Tether was trading at $1.00. It was down by 0.02 per cent. Its 24-hour trading volume was $156.89 billion. It is currently ranked third on Coinmarketcap.

Solana prices were down by 3.14 per cent to $178.68. Its 24-hour trading volume was $9.47 billion.

Cardano ADA was trading at $0.7997, up by 1.07 per cent. Its 24-hour trading volume was $2.08 billion.

Avalanche AVAX was trading at $23.11, down by 1.04 per cent. Its 24-hour trading volume was $710.01 billion.
