Crypto Prices Today: Bitcoin Tops $109,000, Ethereum Holds Above $2,500

Bitcoin climbed past $109,000 on Thursday, while Ethereum held above $2,500, signalling mild recovery in the crypto market cap. At the time of writing, the total crypto market capitalisation saw a marginal gain of 2.92 per cent to $3.27 trillion, while the 24-hour trading volume surged by 30.88 per cent to $126.76 billion.

Bitcoin BTC was the most trending cryptocurrency. Its price was up by 2.48 per cent to $109,156.32. Its 24-hour trading volume was $54.61 billion. Elsewhere, Bonk BONK was the top gainer. It was up by 21.18 per cent, and its 24-hour trading volume was 465.96 million. Four FORM was the top loser, and it was down by 3.59 per cent, while its 24-hour trading volume was $13.05 million.

The DeFi market cap was at $36.04 billion, Coinmarketcap.com reported.

According to CoinSwitch, BTC held firm above $108K, trading comfortably above both the 50 and 100 days moving averages. Immediate resistance lies near $109,400, with the first key level at $110K. In macro developments, U.S. President Donald Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill”, a $4.5 trillion package cleared the Senate. While the final version contains no crypto-specific provisions, lawmakers reportedly made a last-minute push to include digital asset tax incentives.

“Ripple Labs is seeking a U.S. banking license as crypto-native firms continue aligning with traditional finance through formal regulation and infrastructure access,” it added.

Ethereum (ETH): Ethereum prices were up by 5.92 per cent to $2,585.40. Its 24-hour trading volume was $24.29 billion, and its market dominance was 9.30 per cent.

Tether (USDT): Tether was trading at $1. Its 24-hour trading volume was $84.55 billion. It is currently ranked third on Coinmarketcap.

Other Altcoins

Solana prices were up by 3.85 per cent to $154.60. Its 24-hour trading volume was $3.92 billion.

Avalanche AVAX was trading at $18.86, up by 7.53 per cent. Its 24-hour trading volume was $399.39 million.

Cardano ADA was trading at $0.5940, up by 7.25 per cent. Its 24-hour trading volume was $989.29 million.

Meme Coins

Dogecoin was up by 7.07 per cent, with a 24-hour price of $0.1717.

Shiba Inu was up by 5.17 per cent to $0.00001198.

Decentralised Finance

DeFi Coin was up by 0.63 per cent, and it was trading at $0.002292.

Yearn Finance was down by 1.56 per cent to $4,962.95, with a 24-hour trading volume of $12.45 million.
