Atlanta Electrical IPO: Atlanta Electricals Ltd shares made their debut on the NSE and BSE on September 29 with over 13 per cent premium. Atlanta Electricals shares made their debut on the NSE at Rs 857 apiece with 13.66 per cent premium.
Post-listing the stock gained over 14 per cent compared to the issue price to trade at an early high of Rs 865 apiece. On the BSE, the stock listed at Rs 858.1 apiece with gains of 14 per cent.
After shares of Atlanta Electricals listed on the exchanges, 33 lakh shares of the electrical equipment maker were traded and the company’s total market capitalization stood at Rs 6,280.53 crore.
Retail investors who were allotted at least one lot or 19 shares would have made a profit of Rs 1,957 (Rs 857 - Rs 754 x 19 ) after the stock started trading on the exchange.
Atlanta Electricals IPO was worth Rs 687.34 crore. The electrical equipment maker’s issue consisted of a fresh issuance of 5.3 million shares amounting to Rs 400 crore and an offer-for-sale component of 3.8 million shares worth Rs 287.34 crore. The minimum lot size for application for retail investors was fixed at 1 lot or 19 shares, which aggregated to an investment of Rs 14,326. Atlanta Electricals IPO was booked 70.63 times during the three-day bidding window which opened on September 22 and closed on September 24. Investors across categories placed bids for over 461.78 million shares compared to the 6.53 million shares offered for subscription.
Retail individual investors booked their quota in Atlanta Electricals IPO 10.42 times. Non-Institutional Investors oversubscribed the issue 54.2 times. Qualified Institutional Buyers booked their quota 194.92 times. Employees of Atlanta Electricals Ltd booked their quota in the public issue 3.29 times.
Atlanta Electricals plans to use the money raised via the public issue for repayment of certain outstanding borrowings, funding working capital requirements and for general corporate purposes.
Atlanta Electricals Ltd manufactures heavy electrical equipment such as transformers for power, auto and inverter duty. As of March 31, 2025, the company makes power transformers, inverter-duty transformers, furnace transformers, generator transformers, and special-duty transformers.
Following the listing of its shares, Atlanta Electricals has joined its listed peers such as Voltamp Transformers Ltd, Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Ltd and Danish Power Ltd which are also engaged in the transformer manufacturing industry.
Atlanta Electricals Ltd secured Rs 204.7 crore from a group of 15 anchor investors. The company allotted over 27 lakh equity shares at Rs 754 per share to these investors. Major anchor investors included Kotak Mutual Fund, Axis Mutual Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Energy Opportunities Fund and Ashoka Whiteoak ICAV- Ashoka Whiteoak India Opportunities Fund.
At the time of writing shares of Atlanta Electricals shares traded at Rs 812.35 apiece down by 5.21 per cent on the NSE. Atlanta Electricals shares traded at Rs 822 apiece up by 4.21 per cent on the BSE.
