The Ladli Behna Yojana is one of the most prominent welfare schemes in Madhya Pradesh designed to strengthen the financial standing of women by providing them with financial assistance and help them in improving their quality of life and decision-making power. As the state prepares for the next disbursement, beneficiaries are awaiting the 32nd instalment under the scheme, which will provide them with an assistance of Rs 1,500.
The Ladli Behna Yojana is designed to offer monthly assistance to women in Madhya Pradesh. It follows a direct benefit transfer (DBT) approach, which directly transfers the assistance amount into the accounts of the registered beneficiaries. The primary objective is to provide security to women and reduce their dependency. Under this scheme, the eligible women will receive a sum between Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,500 depending on their financial categories.
Launched by the then chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in 2023, it quickly became one of the most participated schemes in the state. Millions of women enrolled from rural and urban regions.
The eligibility is that women must be local residents of Madhya Pradesh. They can be single, married, widowed, divorced, or even abandoned; the only clause is that their family's annual income should not exceed Rs 2.50 lakh.
The Madhya Pradesh government has confirmed that the 32nd instalment of the Ladli Behna Yojana will be credited soon. According to an NDTV report, the 32nd instalment can be released any time between January 1 and January 15, 2026, although there is no confirmation from the state government officially.
The beneficiaries will receive an SMS from the bank once the amount is credited, just like before. They can confirm the payment status through the official Ladli Behna portal.
