EPFO: The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has announced that several services on its member portal will be unavailable from 12:00 am (00:00 hours) on 26 June to 11:59 pm (23:59 hours) on 28 June, 2026, due to a scheduled system migration and software upgrade.
In a notice displayed on its member portal, EPFO has informed its subscribers that the temporary disruption is part of a database consolidation and application upgrade exercise aimed at improving the claims processing system.
According to the notification, claim submission and processing services will be unavailable during the update and migration period spanning three full calendar days.
During the migration period, EPF members will not be able to submit fresh claim requests through the portal. Claim processing services will also remain suspended during these three days.
EPFO clarified that claims submitted before the start of the migration window will not be processed during the downtime. These applications will be taken up after services are restored.
The retirement fund body stated that the upgrade is being undertaken to improve service delivery and processing efficiency.
EPFO expects all concerned services to be restored by 12:00 am on June 29, 2026.
The organisation has also provided its call centre helpline number, 14470, for members who may need assistance during the period of disruption.
While claim-related services will remain unavailable on the portal, members can continue to access certain EPF-related information through alternative channels.
The regional EPFO offices also provide WhatsApp services for EPFO members. Members can obtain information and routine enquiries by sending a ‘Hello' message to the official WhatsApp number of their respective regional office. Services are offered in various local languages.
To check their EPF balance, account details, and track claim status, members can use the UMANG application. To use the app, the user will need to log in using their registered mobile number and verify a one-time password (OTP) linked to their Universal Account Number (UAN).
Members can check their EPF balance and recent contribution details through the missed call facility as well. To use this service, subscribers must give a missed call from their registered mobile number to 9966044425. The call disconnects automatically, and the member receives account-related information through SMS.
EPFO also continues to offer balance and contribution details through SMS. Subscribers can send "EPFOHO UAN" from their registered mobile number to 7738299899. The service supports multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu.
Members requiring claim-related services may need to wait until June 29, when the upgraded system is scheduled to become operational.
