NTR Bharosa Pension is a scheme launched by the Andhra Pradesh state government. It extends benefits and financial support to many different categories of marginalised groups, such as senior residents, widows, and people with disabilities. The scheme provides financial support and aims to ensure a regular income for vulnerable groups. What Does NTR Pension Scheme Do?

The Andhra Pradesh state government has renamed its existing pension scheme to NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme 2025. It aims to provide financial assistance to beneficiaries such as senior residents, widows, and people with disabilities. The pension amount disbursed as a part of the scheme has been increased from Rs 3000 to Rs 4000 per month for most beneficiaries. The amount has gone up from Rs 3000 to Rs 6000 for partially disabled residents, and Rs 5000 to Rs 15000 for residents with severe disabilities. The main objective of the scheme is to eliminate the troubles and hardships faced by socially vulnerable groups. The scheme aims to improve their social status and standard of living.

Types of Beneficiaries For Pension

  • Rs. 4,000 as Old age pension for senior residents

  • Rs. 4,000 pension for Widow

  • Rs. 4,000 Pension for weavers

  • Rs. 4,000 For Transgender as a pension

  • Rs. 15,000 as Disabled pension

  • Rs. 4,000 as Toddy Tapper's pension

  • Rs. 4,000 as Fisherman pension

  • ART (Anti Retroviral Therapy) pension

  • Rs. 4,000 for Single women as pension

  • Traditional cobblers pension

  • Chronic Kidney Disease of Unknown etiology (CKDU) pension

  • Rs, 4,000 as Dappu artist's pension

  • Rs, 6,000 as pension for Partially Disabled

Eligibility Criteria for NTR Bharosa Pension

Only residents of Andhra Pradesh state who are financially unstable and belong to the categories mentioned above can apply for the pension. The scheme dictates that any person who is a resident of Andhra Pradesh earns up to Rs. 10,000 per month and resides in a rural area is eligible to receive the pension. On the other hand, beneficiaries residing in urban areas are also eligible for the scheme, but they should not be beneficiaries of any other government-supported pension scheme and have a monthly income of Rs 12,000 per month.

The beneficiary must be a widow, a senior resident, a disabled person, or work as a toddy-tapper, cobbler, fisherman, or weaver. The beneficiary can also be partially or fully disabled.

Documents Required To Register Under NTR Bharosa Pension

The beneficiary must have some key documents to be able to apply for the NTR Bharosa Pension scheme. These documents include Aadhar Card as ID proof. For contact purposes, the beneficiary must have an email ID and mobile number. As address proof, they can submit an electricity bill along with a PAN Card, and a passport-size photo.
